Color Management

Next-Generation Color Management

In commercial printing, the CMYK format is common, but at IGX, we are committed to using the RGB format to preserve the vividness of bishoujo illustrations. RGB-native color management covers a wider color gamut, enabling us to reproduce digital artwork with an exceptional level of color accuracy.

We utilize a 12-color ink system, which allows us to capture depth and detail that traditional 4-color CMYK printing cannot achieve. Additionally, with advanced color management techniques, we ensure that the tonal balance of digital data is accurately reflected in the printed material. ILFORD paper enhances the quality of art by offering excellent color reproduction and long-term preservation. At IGX, we combine RGB data, the 12-color ink system, and ILFORD’s paper technology to deliver beautiful prints that faithfully represent the artists' original intent.

Harmony of Innovation and Tradition

A new art experience born at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and traditional craftsmanship.

At IGX, we employ a new approach that combines innovative technology with traditional craftsmanship.

First, we utilize cutting-edge biomimetic technology inspired by nanotechnology. We are the first in the world to incorporate moth-eye anti-reflective acrylic as the top layer in our framing. This technology mimics the structure of a moth’s eye, significantly reducing reflections. Specifically, the reflectivity of the moth-eye film is only 0.1%, providing over 10 times the anti-reflection performance compared to regular acrylic or glass, with a transmittance of 99%.

Additionally, we have developed technology that enables RGB printing on mirrored surfaces. Traditionally, printing on mirrors was considered impossible due to UV light reflection causing inkhead malfunctions, but we overcame this issue with special techniques, allowing for vibrant color reproduction on reflective surfaces.

At the same time, we actively incorporate traditional crafts such as 1,500-year-old hand-made Echizen washi paper, Kyoto fans, and Wajima lacquer, along with a coating technology that allows for high-definition printing on these materials. This results in a fusion of digital and analog, high-tech and low-tech, expanding the potential of art.

Through this combination of the latest technology and traditional craftsmanship, IGX provides artists and viewers with moments of surprise and inspiration.

The Art of Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship that transcends productivity, offering delicacy and warmth, along with a commitment to fair trade.

We take pride in producing limited quantities for customers who value delicate and warm craftsmanship, completely disregarding mass production. Our motto is to uphold the principles of fair trade, ensuring that the artisans and illustrators involved are appropriately compensated. Each of our pieces is the result of intricate skill and the passion of our craftsmen. Even in an era dominated by mass production, we devote time and effort to every single piece, striving for the highest quality.

By adhering strictly to fair trade principles and guaranteeing fair compensation, we believe that both skill and creativity should be truly appreciated. The rarity and high quality of our work provide a unique experience that is unmatched, offering the very best to customers who recognize true value. These are carefully crafted works, infused with the spirit of the artisans. Our craftsmanship is not merely a display of technique but heartfelt art, and it is both our pride and our mission.

What We Stand For

Innovation, Tradition, Quality.

We redefine bishoujo illustrations created through digital CG as modern ukiyo-e, bringing their delicacy and beauty to the world through cutting-edge digital printing technology. Just as traditional ukiyo-e has been cherished as a symbol of Japanese culture, we aim for our bishoujo illustrations to shine brightly in the future art scene. By merging state-of-the-art technology with digital art, we will spread this next-generation form of artistic expression across the globe.
